Author Guidelines

The Irsa Journal of Sports Studies and Physical Education (IJSSPE) accepts original, unpublished empirical research, systematic reviews, and experimental investigations in sports science, biomechanics, physical education, and athletic training.

Manuscript Specifications:
• File Format: Microsoft Word (.docx).
• Typography: Times New Roman; Title: 16 pt Bold; Headings: 12 pt Bold; Main Text: 12 pt Regular.
• Line Spacing & Margins: Line spacing 1.15, standard 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides.
• Word Count: 4,000 – 7,000 words including tables, figures, and references.
• Referencing: APA 7th Edition style strictly, including active DOI links for all cited sources.
• Plagiarism Policy: Similarity index must not exceed 20%, with no single source exceeding 5%.

Structure of the Manuscript:
1. Title (Concise and informative, max 15–20 words).
2. Author details, academic affiliations, institutional emails, and ORCID iDs.
3. Structured Abstract (200–250 words: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions) and 4–6 Keywords.
4. Introduction (Theoretical rationale, literature review, and research aims).
5. Materials & Methods (Participants, ethical clearance, instruments, and statistical procedures).
6. Results (Objective presentation with academic tables and high-resolution figures).
7. Discussion (Interpretation of findings, practical implications, and limitations).
8. Conclusions & Practical Recommendations.
9. Declarations (Ethical approval, informed consent, conflict of interest, and funding).
10. References (APA 7th Edition).

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements:

• The submission has not been previously published, nor is it currently under consideration by another journal.
• The manuscript file adheres strictly to the official IJSSPE Word Template (.docx) regarding structure, font specifications, and layout.
• The main manuscript file has been completely blinded for double-blind peer review (all author names, affiliations, and acknowledgments removed).
• A separate Title Page containing full author names, affiliations, corresponding author email, and ORCID iDs is uploaded alongside the submission.
• All cited references conform strictly to APA 7th Edition style, and active DOIs or permanent URLs are provided wherever available.
• Explicit statements regarding ethical approval (with institutional ethics board reference number) and informed consent are included in the manuscript.
• The text complies with the journal's similarity index policy (overall similarity below 20%, with no single source exceeding 5%).
